    I took CS way back when, I remember quite a bit of theory involved that
    was a lot of fun to learn - it wasn't until I went into the "real world"
    that coding was all comments and cleaning up someone else's if
    statements. :)

    If You can call BASIC a Language, it is the only Language I know.

    When I was in the military I was selected to go to Radiomans School.
    The CW code class started at 4 Words Per Minute (wpm) with the four left hand letters on a typewriter, A S D F sent over and over.
    I already had a General Class Amateur Radio License back then and could send and receive over 13 wpm.
    I appreciate that class now since I learned to type back then and really enjoy banging on keys now.

    If it gets the job done, then yes, it's a "language".

    My first job was programming and supporting a PICK system. PICK was an
    odd system that used a database as a file system, and programming was
    all done with their version of BASIC and what I would later realize was
    SQL. All of the functions of a modern retail system (purchasing,
    inventory, accounting, general ledger and even tools like email) were
    all written in BASIC.

    I rememeber logging into a Pick system. When entering the password, the system would echo a random number of X's per keypress which looked odd (I guess that was deliberate).
