I can be added to THAT list as well. I find a search for an issue on Google will stand a good chance of getting you at least a couple fixes. Thank goodness for that one. ____________

I wish the search function was more effective in Synchronet - there have been times I've looked for a fix I read in a message on my BBS and found
it on someone else's board in a web search. :(

if you're talking about the actual msg base search function ,it's pretty decent. it doesn't get any false hits. what else can you ask for?
i guess he could add in text+text1+text2

MR> you guys need to shape up or you're going to chase away good

    people!

MR> I blocked him and deleted my helpful comments.

That kind of childish ain't it?

nah he just kept downvoting them. he's an idiot.

And I guess along the lines he said, "if you know the solution wouldn't
it be better to share a link or help?"

he didnt. share what link? the howto's and the screenshots and everything
are on the synchronet wiki. now he's trying mystic and he's SOL.

I was trying to setup a sync test system but after comments like those I stopped asking and started a chatgpt project and asking it question
which it won't sigh or shrug, it's a matter of perspective, just my
humble opinion as someone that returned after two decades and is trying
to get people to join to to scare them with bad attitude, my two cents.

if someone takes it as an insult when you say you should check out the documentation and wants to be handheld and wants you to give him a reach around and tickle his balls to climax, bbsing isn't for him.

furthermore i know synchronet has the largest support system out of all the bbs softwares.

he's just some idiot who wants to run dialup mystic to launch renegade via telnet and also have ftn and everything. but he won't touch documentation.

If he was ignored eventually now i know why. he's a child.

And you weren't doing a great job in your quest for suppor either. you didn't provide correct information or much of any information.

you just can't go out and say things aren't working and don't say anything else and expect that to be helpful. you have to provide information and screenshots so people can see what you did wrong.

I remember what david's problem was.
He had problems and people told him how to fix them. One of those was nick boel.

David refused to correct the problems. then complained about the people helping him. the people gave him correct information.

some people you just can't help.

it's true, maybe our search needs to be expanded. recently i was able to find old posts where i asked for help with an issue. it was more difficult using the synchronet text search commands. it wasn't THAT difficult. perhaps the search feature needs to be more robust.
